Funding Sources

• From inception to date, OAHI has been primarily supported by Odessa Housing Finance Corporation (OHFC). OHFC has committed $150,000 to be utilized for approved program expenditures. OHFC is also providing all administrative support, including staffing for OAHI.     **   Year to Date, OAHI has received approximately $335,000 in CDBG Grants, which were allocated by Odessa City Council. The CDBG Grant specifies that funds be utilized for program expenditures only. Over the past four years, we have completed an estimated 314 qualified projects.

 

• OAHI has entered into a contract with the City of Odessa to receive HOME Funds to be utilized for eligible expenditures. Homes that are built with CHDO funds, are required to be sold to families who are low to moderate income. They also must qualify for assistance from the City. The City of Odessa's Community Development Department will assist qualified homeowners in the form of down payment and closing cost. All potential homebuyers would need to fill out an application with the City of Odessa's Community Development Department to determine whether or not they qualify for assistance.
